About Northlight

Northlight Educational Consulting helps students and families navigate college admissions with confidence.

We work one-on-one with students to explore interests and goals, identify meaningful summer opportunities, plan for testing, and build a thoughtful college list. We also help families identify merit aid and other types of financial assistance when applicable, ensuring students find the right financial fit.

We take the stress out of the process by cutting through the noise. So much advice out there just adds pressure by telling teens what they “should” do. Very often this advice is not helpful. At Northlight, we help students and families focus on what really matters, so the journey is manageable and purposeful.

Our essay coaching guides students to discover and share their authentic stories, while our organizational support keeps the process clear and (relatively) stress-free.

In addition to college counseling, we provide guidance for high school applications throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
